Through Time
through
time
history
repeats
itself:
war
and
conquest
rise
and
fall
and
then
there’s
you
—here—
in
one
sliver
of
eternity
able
to
fight
these
wars
this
fall
so
why
travel
through
time
This 33-word story is for the Trifecta Writing Challenge’s weekend Trifextra challenge. This time, we were asked to write a story about time travel, so I did (sort of)!
Let me know what you think in the comments below, and have a great weekend!
a love story, a love plea? I decided not to change anything in my time travel today either. Tell a story? Sure. But change it, any of it? I’m not quite sure I’d like to.
Again, you rule the school 😉
Ha, thanks Kir – I thought I’d try a twist on time travel. Glad you liked it!
Nice job Brian. Just as a personal thing I found myself losing the flow a bit having to take a new line for every word ps. congrats on the 3rd place on the Trifecta.
Thanks Paul – and I can see that, it’s a bit weird reading straight down the page/screen, especially when scrolling is involved!

So true…there’s life to live in the here and now.
Brian, sometimes time takes you to exactly where you need to be. Thanks for sharing and linking up!
Love this sliver of eternity!
Thanks Kymm!
Oh most excellent.
Good piece!
Enjoyed this trip through the clock.
Brian, another amazing piece. I found the exact opposite as Paul regarding the format. I thought the long stretch of words was like the stretching of time…it fit perfectly with the theme.
Marvelous!
Thanks Jo-Anne, I really appreciate all your encouragement, and I’m glad you like it!

What a cool format! I especially loved your words
“one
sliver
of
time”
Thanks Shawn, I’m glad you came by to read!
“history repeats itself” so very true…
Great use of 33 words.
Thanks Grace!
