In all the chaos and confusion of my recent move, I forgot to post my monthly list of upcoming writing contests! The good news: Not too too many deadlines have already passed. The bad news: August is a pretty thin month for contests to begin with.
At any rate, here are the one’s I’ve come up with. If you know of others, feel free to let me know, and, of course, if you’ve happened to win or place in any of the previous months’ contests I’d love to hear about it!

I try to only include the most updated, highest-quality contests here. That said, if you know of a contest that should be on here and isn’t, by all means let me know and I’ll add it!
There’s another site, which I’ve only just started to explore, that offers a bunch of prizes each month. It’s called FanStory.com, and they offer poetry contests, short story contests and flash fiction contests with decent cash prizes. If anyone is a member of the site or has entered any of their contests I’d be interested to hear what you thought of it.
